Fredericksburg Trips Day One

This is our first day off and we decided to get with Lee and Carma and take a picnic lunch and see some of the sights around us.

We decided to visit the Enchanted Rock about 30 miles north of Fredericksburg. We'd read some about it and it seemed like a good place to start our sight seeing.
The Enchanted Rock rises about 425 feet above the surrounding country side. It's the geologic center of Texas. From the top of the rock in any direction you can see a big variety of plants that started here in Texas and then were found all across the state.
