On To Kansas

After leaving Arkansas, we drove to Joplin, MO and filled up at the Flying J Truck Stop. After topping off the diesel we decided to top off our tanks at supper. We spent the night there and it was surprisingly quiet there.

Our first stop was South Haven Kansas at a newly opened RV Park. The sites were 100 feet long and about 40 feet wide. It was Oasis RV Park and it's a Passport America park too. Since there is no limit as to how long you can stay using Passport America, we decided to make this a base camp and see sights around us.

There are a lot of small but interesting town around here we'd like to see. We're not too far from Coffeyville which is where the Dalton's robbed a bank and were all killed.

War Eagle Cavern

We took a short drive from the RV Park to explore the Cavern and see how it might compare with either Mamouth or Carlsbad Caverns.

Now that we've seen all we want in Arkansas, we're heading to Kansas and the RV Rally.

Moving On Again

We had a voucher for 5 nights at half price at Outdoor Resorts RV Park on Table Rock Lake. We wanted to see how nice it really was. The drive from Hot Springs was good and again the weather was real nice.

Our Site

We decided to take a little drive from the Park and see what we could find. We came to the next town Blue Eye, Arkansas. Boy it sure is a big town, one general store and one small but good cafe.
Tomorrow we're going to tour a cave we saw on the way into the park.

The Great Passion Play

We've heard so much about this that we just had to go while we're here. They have a special rate for active and retired military. You can get a good supper and tickets for $24 per person, that's about half price. You need more than a day to really see everything in the park.
