"The Picture Frame"

Monument Valley is a Navajo Nation Tribal Park, straddling the border of North East Arizona and South East Utah. It preserves the Navajo way of life and some of the most striking and recognizable landscapes of sand stone buttes and spires in the entire south west.

The area is entirely within the Navajo Indian Reservation near the small town of Goulding which was established in 1923 as a trading post.

John Wayne made several movies in the area, the most famous were Stagecoach , She Wore A Yellow Ribbon and The Searchers are just a few

The Arches National Park preserves over 2,000 natural sandstone arches like the world famous Delicate Arch, as well as many other unusual rock formations.


In some areas the forces of nature have exposed millions of years of geological history. The extraordinary features of this park create a landscape of contrasting colors, land forms and textures unlike any other in the world.

Also John Wayne filmed several movies in the area.
