On to Hutchinson

The time has come for us to go to the Great North American Rally in Hutchinson Kansas. We're really looking forward to it. I hope every thing goes well especially since we've had a lot of rain during the past week.

When we left the RV Park we had to drive over a small creek to get out due to the rain we'd had.

When we got to Hutchinson we got some real BAD news. Due to all the rain we've had all the grassy lots we're supposed to park in had been closed.
We were going to be relocated to an old Navy Air Station runway area about 15 miles south of Hutchinson. They escorted about 150 RVs to a little town of Yoder where we were going to have to park. We had reservations for an electric site and when we got to Yoder there were a lot of empty sites with electricity.
They refused to put us there and we were going to have to "dry camp". I was not going to pay the extra cost of electricity to dry camp. The next day I joined hundreds of other RVers in getting a full refund of our money. We left and drove to Dodge City to find an RV Park. Needless to say a lot more RVers filled for a refund during the next couple of days. This rally lost a lot of money and made a lot of RVers mad.

As you can see there were a lot of RVers dry camping here. About two days after these pictures were taken this place was almost empty, almost everyone had left.
