The Black Canyon of the Gunnison's unique and spectacular landscape was formed slowly by the action of water and rock scouring down through hard Proteozoic Crystaline rock.

No other canyon in North America combines the narrow opening, sheer depths offered by the Black Canyon Of The Gunnison.

"The Picture Frame"

Monument Valley is a Navajo Nation Tribal Park, straddling the border of North East Arizona and South East Utah. It preserves the Navajo way of life and some of the most striking and recognizable landscapes of sand stone buttes and spires in the entire south west.

The area is entirely within the Navajo Indian Reservation near the small town of Goulding which was established in 1923 as a trading post.

John Wayne made several movies in the area, the most famous were Stagecoach , She Wore A Yellow Ribbon and The Searchers are just a few
