Our friends told us they were expecting another colt being born maybe in May and they'll call us to come see it.

A Trip To The Rio Frio

The Rio Frio

Today, we're going to take a tour of the Hill Country to see the Rio Frio or Frio River. There is an RV Park there we might go to and see if we might want to spend a winter there. It's called Parkview Riverside RV Park it's nice but we're not sure if we want to spend the winter here. There are too many trees and the satellite might not work well there.

Quiet Drive Around The Hill Country

We decided to take a leisurely drive around the Hill Country and see some more of this beautiful countryside. We drove from Tarpley to Hondo and then over to Sabinal. We found a small restaurant there and stopped for lunch. This place is like a bar with a restaurant in it. There was a man playing country music and it sounded as though he was a complete band. He was real good and had a good voice too. The food was good and lots of it and the price was good as well.

The Road To Utopia

We're going to Utopia in search of peace and quiet and see what this town is all about. We've been told that Utopia is a small Texas town but there are interesting things to see on the way to it.

We were a little disappointed about Utopia, there isn't too much to the town but at least the drive to it was nice. The Texas Hill Country doesn't have an area that isn't beautiful.

Touring The Hill Country

We're taking a little drive around the area to see some more of the beautiful Hill Country. We've been told about a river crossing where two rivers merge into one and then become the Bandera River.

We're always interested in see unusual sights so here we go.

When You Enter Oakwood Park This Gets Your Attention

We were going to Fredericksburg to get some candles for our daughter Billie from the candle factory there. They make all size and types you can imagine.

We decided to stop at Oakwood RV Park and see how the cactus Jerry planted was doing. So far as we know, no one had taken care of them since left about three years ago.

Jerry planted all this cactus and I helped a little bit too.
